Jon Twersky Quieting Mind Founder & Lead Meditation Teacher
Jon has been practicing mediation since 2005. He received his teaching certification from Dharma Moon/Tibet House under the guidance of David Nichtern. Jon emphasizes the importance of a daily meditation routine as a crucial component of his personal growth. Engaging in this practice instills discipline while fostering an expansive and compassionate mindset. Jon firmly believes that mindfulness meditation strengthens human connection, noting that personal practice is not just for ourselves, but for the benefit of others.
With over 20 years of experience working with individuals in various age groups, including a specialization in late teens and early twenties, Jon understands the unique challenges and uncertainties that arise during this transformative stage of life. Jon is a certified K-12 educator and instructional coach, who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to create a nurturing and transformative experience for his students.
Melissa Wombwell-Twersky Yoga Instructor
Melissa is a Registered Yoga Teacher and dedicated Reiki Practitioner with over 25 years of experience in yoga. Her journey into yoga began during her college years and has since become an integral part of her life. Throughout the challenging times of the pandemic, Melissa discovered the transformative power of daily practice, which helped her maintain a sense of groundedness.
In addition to her yoga expertise, Melissa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, bringing a holistic approach to her work and supporting individuals in their mental and emotional well-being.
